Delko S.A. of Śrem is a nationwide distributor of household cleaning products, cosmetics, hygienic products and packaging. They supply products with their own labels to shops across the country and are, at the same time, one of the leading business partners of concerns like SC Johnson, Henkel and Kimberly Clark as well as Nivea Polska and L’Oreal.
For two years Delko has been the exclusive distributor of Wesley shaving products in the traditional market (Wesley is the world’s second manufacturer of razorblades). The Supermax range comprises not only the aforementioned razorblades, but also cosmetics. Due to the potential of the Delko sales force the share of these products in the market is continuously growing.
Delko operates in the whole country through a chain of 12 wholesales – regional distributors. The owners of these wholesales are also the stockholders of the Delko Companies whilst two wholesales are also members of the Delko Capital Group.
Year after year Delko are steadily increasing not only the number of loyal business partners, but also their financial results.
Since 2003 Delko have been enjoying a regular sales growth. The goal of the Management is to maintain this trend estimated at 10 percent a year. By 2008 they expect their turnover to reach 340 million zlotys. A boost increase is also being observed in the sales of the company’s own brands and this proves that their position in the market is growing.
In the upcoming months the Company will enter the stock exchange. The means acquired from becoming public will be used to buy out some wholesale distributors and this, in turn, will lead to the successive consolidation of the cosmetics and household cleaning products market by adding further distributors to the capital group. Currently advanced talks are being held with an important distributor who wishes to join the Delko Group.
Taking into account the company’s achievements so far it is possible to say that Delko are a forerunner in the integration of the Polish market of cosmetics, household cleaning and personal hygiene products. The company’s aim is to achieve a dominating position in this sector. “The present condition of the group and their growing financial results bode well for a bright future,” says Andrzej Worsztynowicz, President of the Delko Company.
