The distributor of household cleaning products has already made one successful takeover and is now working on securing further transactions.

The company did not wait for the money from the open bid and finalised the several million zloty takeover announced for this year by acquiring Nika, a regional FMCG distributor from Kielce. “The company displays stable results with an income of some 30 million zlotys and a profit of 1 million zlotys,” says Paweł Puterko of ProfesCapital who advises on the Delko bid. Hence, it is quite obvious that the new acquisition will significantly contribute to Delko’s results (in 2006 the company reached a net profit of 2.4 million zlotys). And this is not the end of the company’s acquisitions. “We are continuing talks with businesses that could be taken over,” says Paweł Puterko.

Delko’s goal is to build a strong nationwide distribution chain. At present, apart from the parent company, the group comprises Delko RDT Księżycowo of Białystok, in which Delko hold 100 percent of the capital, and Delko Otto of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, in which they hold 50.02 percent. Delko want to spend the money from the open bid on further takeovers and are confident that they will sell shares worth nearly 20 million zlotys.
